ACLS AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support: Initial or Renewal Classroom course

Advanced Cardiovacular Life Support Online/Blended Course and Skill testing .

Online Blended Course are not refundable, returnable or transferrable once ordered, whether the online course is completed or not. Online Blended Courses cannot be done on a phone.

Students are allowed up to 60 days after the completion of the online part of the course to complete the skills session. If you do not complete the skill portion within 60 days of the date on your online completion certificate , you will need to purchase another course and redo the course.

Our Skill testing sessions are held once or twice a month usually on a  Tuesday or Wednesday.  If you have A DEADLINE date to obtain your card, contact us at 805-705-9222 to secure a testing date prior to purchasing the online course.

The purpose of this course is to develop the skills of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists & emergency medical services personnel who are regularly in emergency cardiac care delivery. Those who successfully complete the course according to American Heart Association standards will be issued an AHA ACLS Certification card.

ACLS is an advanced course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

Key changes in advanced cardiovascular life support, reflecting
the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care:

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions,
    use of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED)
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a
    resuscitation team
  • Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics

ACLS Class Refund Policy:

A 3 day notice for rescheduling or cancellation is required. Registrants providing less than 3 days of notice to Safety Matters Certified Training are not eligible for a refund. A processing fee of $15.00 will be retained for reschedules/cancellations received more than 3 business days prior to skill date. No refund for no shows or cancellations less than 3 business days prior to skills date. NO refund on any portion of the Online Course Key code once it has been purchased. Full refund for skills portion if the skill date is canceled for any reason by Safety Matters Certified Training.

Student may make up to two (2) attempts to pass the online testing portion. If you do not pass the online testing, you will be required to purchase an additional course key code. Students are allowed up to 60 days after the completion of the online part of the course to complete the skills session. If you do not pass the online testing in 2 attempts or you do not have a skills session completed within 60 days of completing the online part 1, a new Key code purchase is required.

Remediation Policy:

Because our classes are small, your integrity will always be respected. In the event that you are weak on your Megacode testing and/or written test, your remediation session will be held privately after other students have left. In the event this remediation is not acceptable for passing and card issuance, you will be allowed to re-take the course at a 50% discount.
