How to treat Nosebleeds

By Justin Haagen on Jun 28, 2016 in Managing Medical Emergencies

Nosebleeds can occur when small blood vessels inside the nostrils are ruptured.

Most nosebleeds are not serious and can be easily handled.

Rarely does a nosebleed become life-threatening

Have the person sit up straight with his or her head tilted forward, chin down.

Pinch the nose with your thumb and index finger and hold it for about ten minutes.
